FHE pumpkin carving.

FHE means family home evening... basically, while I was growing up my family would do a little church lesson, or family activity, or service project every Monday night. Now that I'm in college, my young single adult ward at church has been split into family home evening groups! This week we carved pumpkins, and yes. it was a blast!

My family is wonderful. Happy monday!

the neighbourhood.

last night I went to The Neighbourhood concert in Salt Lake City with Joseph, Kennedy, and Dylan! Definitely an entertaining night... I didn't really know many of the songs, but let me tell you- we had an awesome time! Oh, and the {strange} people that went to that concert... goooood times.

Then I got to spend the night with Katie and Sam, and I also had the wonderful chance to see my parents. Ah, how wonderful is life? (:

guest posting//last couple days.

I can't believe how fast this weekend went by! It was jam packed with wonderful adventures and some homework in between (:

Also, I have a new sponsor: Mindy from Best.Day.Ever. Last week she asked me to do a guest post which I was so thrilled about! So head on over to check out my guest post and look around at her adorable blog!

In other news, here's some pictures from this weekend! {plus one of Cady's doodles from forever ago that I never put up}

// curling Kayla's hair {guess what?! SHE GOT A BLOG!!}

// Cady's adorable doodle

// going to Squaw Peak

^^ and being freezing cold ^^

// making breakfast with Cady for some of the boys {we lost a bet}

Then Cady and I did our good deed for the day our lifetime... we cleaned the kitchen downstairs. and it was quite gross, might I add.

Anyways, sorry for the short {and somewhat random} post, but this upcoming week is a busy one! And the best part? My parents are coming out this weekend! It 'll the first time I will have gotten to be with them in two months!

Hope everyone is having a great day and don't forget to check out Mindy's blog!

roomie photoshoots & a bucket list.

So... Kayla and I had a photo shoot yesterday! {yeah, two in one day}. I can not even tell you how awesome she is and how grateful I am to have gotten to know her and to be her roommate! She's basically amazing.

Exhibit A, B, C:

No... but seriously. She is the sweetest! Plus, she lets me take a million pictures of her!!

And we set up the tripod and tried to take cute roomie pics together (:

And she takes pictures of me because everyone needs new twitter profile pictures, right?!

And here comes my absolute favorite picture ever...

We also made a bucket list for the year. and may I say... it is going to be the best. year. ever.

and we now have the list hanging on our wall, and it will keep getting added on to! {the bucket list ranges from foods we want to try, dates we want to go on, temples we want to visit, movies we want to see... and so, so much more}

I hope all of you are having a wonderful Sunday!

fall pictures.

So... yes it's cliche, but we took fall pictures! It turned out to only be about a 3rd of the hall, but hey... it was great! I'm so lucky to get to know these AWESOME girls who always make me want to be better (:

Happy fall!

what do you title this?

Back on the best vacation ever!

today I spent HOURS on homework. to be specific, hours on one paper. which I wrote, then had to delete, then completely re-wrote. plus, it was my first time being sick away from home. Goodness gracious, it was not the best day I've ever had {poor Kayla... she is the best roomie ever, I mean, she offered me chocolate!}. Mom, I just want to say how thankful I am for everything you would do for me! Today made me appreciate and miss it. {and don't worry, I'm feeling better now}

Now, I'm off to finish some more homework... as the hall girls would say, #thestruggle

Don't worry, I have a feeling that the rest of the weekend will be great! (:

tunnel singing//mail from home.

no, but actually. I went how many weeks into school without being late to a single class? Like 7 weeks. without being late to one class... then came this morning. Last night I had decided to go to bed really early- like, midnight. {my average bedtime is around 2 or 3 so midnight is a big deal}. Then you know what happened? I somehow woke up enough to go get my phone, turn off the alarm, then fall asleep again. And then... I woke up at the exact time I usually LEAVE my dorm. DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM HERE? The impressive part of this whole story is that I was only 3 minutes late... the professor was still on the announcements for the day. That's right. Yay for messy buns, throwing on jeans, and basically jogging to class. Lesson learned, I will never be late again, I promise you that. I felt awful. Also, it was most definitely a rough start to a day.

Sunday I went tunnel singing for the first time! It was absolutely amazing and I can't believe how lucky I am to go to a college that has awesome traditions like that! After the singing, we completed the night with hot chocolate and popcorn {thanks for sending the extra mugs, mom (: }

I also got a package from home... and trust me, it came at the perfect time. Sometimes, college classes make me wish for high school. and I'm mainly in freshmen classes. what're classes going to be like in a couple years??

Life here is great. Even on not-so-good days, it's really great getting to come back to such awesome girls. Ahh, how lucky I am to be here (:

Well, this is going to be another night of going to bed early, so I'm off! Hope everyone is having a great week!

that one time we met Studio C.

If you don't know what Studio C is {or even Divine Comedy for that matter} there is something wrong. First, go here.

They're my favorite comedy group in the history of comedy groups. AND a few of the girls from the hall and I went and met them!! Yes, we were definitely on the edge of fangirling. AND I got a folder signed. by all of them. This may, or may not, be one of the best moments of my life, just sayin'.

I am definitely glad for beautiful girls like this who are ok with my weird obsessions (:

effort-free dates and library adventures.

the adventures of this past week {besides homecoming activities} included spending several nights at the library until midnight, and going to a date-set up party last night!

Tuesday night, even though I rreeaallyy didn't want to, Destiny and I went to the library. at ten. p.m.

and that's when we realized we had to watch a video that was 1 hour and 40 minutes long {yes, 100 minutes} and do a quiz on it by midnight for Book of Mormon. {we were both sure we had until thursday..wrong}. soooo, that was a sad moment indeed.
...the video did turn out to be super interesting though, so it wasn't too bad! It was on Isaiah which was pretty cool.

Chocolate milk is what gets me through life.

Needless to say, I was up until 3 on tuesday doing homework. it was, indeed, very unfortunate. but I got everything done that I needed to, so I should get props for that, right???

This was our thursday night:

I mean, we're not gonna turn down the chance to get a date!

Also, Kayla and I helped hand out cotton candy to advertise for True Blue Foam... Cosmo helped us out. Can you say "best mascot ever??"

On a side note, making the cotton candy really made me miss the theater! I'm loving it here, but dang, I'm a tiny bit excited to go home and stop by the Fox!

p.s. GUESS WHAT?? KATIE IS COMING TONIGHT AND I GET TO SEE HER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2 MONTHS {I mean, we've facetimed, but that's not the same}

BYU homecoming tradition? True blue foam= FOAMCOMING! Now, obviously the most exciting part of this whole deal, was that I was on the BYUSA committee for foamcoming this year (:

that's right. Kayla and I are that cool! And, despite the weather being freezing, it was a complete success and we are soo glad we did it!

We also had a wonderful group of kids that were willing to volunteer... you guys rocked!

I think the bragging moment goes towards Kayla and I being the first people who got to go down the slide :D

So, if your'e still confused what the heck I'm talking about, watch this video from True Blue Foam a couple years ago:

May I suggest that this was possibly the best thing ever? Mmkay (:  Hope you are all having a great week!

Evan and Caitlin.

So, the last two days I got to spend at my sister's house! Oh how grateful I was to be somewhere other than campus {don't get me wrong, I love it here}. Plus, my sister has the cutest family!

Have I mentioned she's expecting another baby girl in just a few months?!? Yep (:

They are the cutest and I'm so glad to only live an hour away from them!
