I survived!

Good news! I made it through this week. It took a lot of studying and homework and diet coke and one melt down, but I made it, so that's good, right?

^^This is what my week looked like in a nutshell^^

I had midterms this week. lots of 'em. and papers. and yeah. It was pretty fun, I'd say. This week beat my finals week last semester. What will happen when I'm in a bunch of upper level classes? I'm scared.

my last little rant: I liked multiple choice tests until there were a bunch of questions on my econ midterm that were answers A-H. yes, as in a, b, c, d, e, f, g, and h were all options for the answer. all I ask for is good grades. why.

On to a happier subject... My ward is playing assassin. Just in case you're wondering what the heck I'm talking about, it goes something like this:

Get a partner. Randomly get assigned a partnership that you and your partner are supposed to hunt down and "kill" {aka... mark them with a highlighter/marker before they get you}. Once you get that team, you have to get whoever they were hunting. And it keeps going. on and on. All the while, you're being hunted by a partnership and you have no clue who they are. There are only a couple safe zones: the dining hall and classes during class time and Sunday's.

Basically, playing this game means you are paranoid. all the time. The first day I literally walked around campus with my highlighter at the ready... just in case anyone came running at me.  I mean, I'm sure everyone thought the 64 freshmen walking around with markers and looking paranoid was pretty entertaining. Wellll... long story short, if you ever play this game, be partners with Kayla. She's pulling us through, thanks to an epic hunt down of our first partnership {which, by the way, were Cady and Hunter. I still say the drawing was rigged, Harrison!}!

You can see some quality pictures of Assassin day one right here!

In other news, I'm here {once again} to force my strange taste of music on you! Yep, you're welcome. Thanks to Pandora, I found this wonderful British band:

Also, I'm currently in love with this:

Well... after this long week I'm finally off to bed! ...hoping that I won't wake up a hundred times during the night because of dreams about failing my tests {yeah, that's actually what has been happening the last couple days}

Sincerely,
Erica Michelle

joann's fabrics opened.

sometimes I question how things like this happen. {the purchases pictured above}
then I realize that joann's is adorable, and walmart has good sales.
then I understand.
I went to Joann's today. {it was  l i t e r a l l y  a dream come true}

gallon challenge//boating.

today was quite the day. I guess you could say that when you live in small town Colorado you find some weird ways to entertain yourselves. Today this entertainment came in the form of the gallon challenge, visiting popular kayaking sites, and driving around in Hayden's van.

In case you don't know... the gallon challenge is just that- you have one hour to drink a gallon of milk. Sounds not too bad? hah. Your body can't handle that much milk and you end up throwing it back up. So basically your goal is to drink a gallon of milk and hold it down for 60 minutes. There was a big group of us that went to Hayden's house, but only 4 actually tried the Challenge. {Sam blogged about it too.}

Katie gave up about 2 glasses in, but Hallie, Erik, and Hayden stayed strong. Hallie come in 3rd, getting through just over half her gallon before... well you know. Erik got through about 2/3. But Hayden... he got through almost the whole gallon! There was probably about an inch left of milk in his carton, but he refused to finish it! Haha, so yes, I spent an hour of my day watching teenagers literally drink milk until they threw up- and it was hilarious.

We then took a ride in Hayden's van {remember when we painted it?} over to the m-wave. then through the adobes {I honestly thought that I might die} then through town. We found multiple dips in roads that we could go over at full speed. It was possibly one of the best afternoons... I spent it laughing hysterically. Umm... also, we even got air one time. WE FLEW. dang right.

My family then headed up to the lake for family home evening! Unfortunately we learned that the lake was too low to get our boat in the water, but we cooked hot dogs and roasted marshmallows and it was great fun anyways (:

oh, goodness. what a great first day of July!

under construction.

I'm so excited to announce that...

I can no longer stand the look of my blog!

Therefore, over the next few days, I am going to completely redesign my blog. Pages, tabs, links, sidebar, buttons, pictures, everything.

So, if you visit my blog and it looks a bit disoriented, that's why! I most likely won't be blogging about anything else before then {not to mention the fact that I'm behind on blogging anyways} so this will be my last post for a few days! I blame my blogging absence on the fact that I worked 33 hours this week. That's right folks! It may not be quite full-time, but that's the most I've ever worked in one week!

See ya later!

Sincerely,
Erica Michelle

why I've disappeared.

Today has been insane. It started at 5:45 when my dad woke me up because my room wasn't all the way clean (sadly, I had been warned that that would happen) and it was crazy all day. Between working every afternoon//all afternoon (plus a few nights), and addressing a million thank you notes, and cleaning, and whatnot, it's been insane.

By the way, today is my mommy's birthday! (More on that tomorrow when I can get pictures from our computer... what's a post without any pictures??)

But, in other news... this past school year my mom and dad started watching Downton Abbey (starting from the beginning of the series). I was too swamped with school to watch with them, but last week I watched the entire first season- it's not exaggerating to say that I think I'm obsessed with it. Today, just in the couple hours from my mom's birthday dinner, my mom and I have watched 4 episodes of the second season... it is killing me. I'm watching it as I blog, I just felt like I needed to explain my lack of... well, doing anything. (please, if you ruin this show for me, I will bawl.) Anyways, I don't think I'll be doing anything productive until I'm done with the second and third season. And it is taking every single ounce of self-restrait to not just google what happens since everyone has told me horror stories about the last episode of season three. And it is stressing me out. So very, very much. ugggghhhhh.

ok, sorry. today has been crazy. and so I'm behind in blogging. and laundry. and every thing else. sorry. kay, as soon as I'm done with the stinkin show I'll blog, and thrift shop, and think about my life (which is complicated enough... but not what I want to blog about at this time, or ever). Just.... yeah. So much and so crazy busy. But tomorrow I don't work, so hopefully that'll help quite a little bit. Well, time to go watch another episode...

Sincerely,
Erica Michelle
